The Milgram Shock Box
The Milgram Experiment is considered one of the most famous studies of obedience to date. Stanley Milgram’s findings were notorious for exposing the dangers of obedience. The results revealed alarming insight about the influence of authority. His approach to uncovering the power of obedience to authority sparked ethical uncertainty. Although deemed controversial by many, the Milgram Experiment is still relevant in today’s world of Psychology (Cherry).
"The social psychology of this century reveals a major lesson: often it is not so much the kind of person a man is as the kind of situation in which he finds himself that determines how he will act." –Stanley Milgram, 1974
